How It All Started

So here's what happened. Abd Shanti needed to convert a video file to MP3. Simple enough, right? He googled it like any normal person would. And what came up was... well, let's just say it wasn't great.

Every single converter site wanted him to upload his file to some mystery server in who knows where. Pop up ads everywhere. "Waiting for your file to process" loading bars that took forever. One site literally tried to install a browser extension. Another one asked him to create an account just to convert a 30 second clip. Come on.

But here's the problem that really bugged him: why do these sites need your file at all? Modern browsers are incredibly powerful. They can process audio and video right there on your computer. There's literally no technical reason to upload anything.

And that's why GetMP3.video exists. Abd sat down and built the thing he wished existed. A converter that works instantly, processes everything locally using WebAssembly, and doesn't ask you to trust some random server with your files. No ads screaming at you. No accounts. No "premium tier" paywalls. Just tools that work.

What started as a simple MP4 to MP3 converter grew into a full toolkit. People kept asking for more features. "Can you add a trimmer?" Sure. "What about a ringtone maker?" Done. "Bass booster?" You got it. And here we are with 15+ tools and counting.

What Makes Us Different

Here's the thing. Most converter sites are basically the same. You upload a file, their server does some processing, and you download the result. That model is slow, privacy invasive, and honestly kind of outdated.

We're not just saying this to sound good. Let us explain how it actually works under the hood.

When you drop a file into any of our tools, your browser loads a WebAssembly version of FFmpeg (the same engine that powers basically every video player and editor on the planet). That engine runs locally in your browser tab. Your file gets processed right there on your machine. The output file is generated locally too. At no point does any of your data leave your device.

We can't see your files. We can't access your files. We literally don't have the infrastructure to store your files even if we wanted to (which we don't). There's no upload endpoint. No cloud storage. Nothing.
