Terms of Service
Last updated: March 29, 2026
Welcome to GetMP3.video. This isn't just a formality. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a real, binding agreement between you and GetMP3.video ("we," "us," "our," or "the Service"). By using any part of our website, tools, embed widgets, or blog, you're agreeing to everything laid out here. If something doesn't sit right with you, that's completely fine, but please don't use the Service.
We've done our best to write these Terms in plain language. You shouldn't need a law degree to understand what you're agreeing to. That said, this is still a legal document, and it governs your relationship with us while you use GetMP3.video.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using GetMP3.video in any way, you acknowledge that you've read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. This applies whether you're converting a single file, using one of our audio effects tools, reading our blog, or embedding our widget on your own site.
If you're using the Service on behalf of an organization (a company, school, team, etc.), you're confirming that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms. In that case, "you" refers to both you personally and the organization.
2. Description of Service
GetMP3.video is a free, browser based suite of audio and video tools. Everything runs locally in your web browser using client side technology (including WebAssembly and the Web Audio API). Your files are never uploaded to our servers. They don't leave your device. Period.
Here's what we offer:
Video to MP3 Converters
- MP4 to MP3: Extract audio from standard MP4 video files.
- MOV to MP3: Convert Apple QuickTime recordings from iPhones, iPads, and Macs.
- AVI to MP3: Handle legacy AVI files from older camcorders and recording software.
- MKV to MP3: Pull audio from MKV containers commonly used for movies and anime.
- WebM to MP3: Convert WebM files typically created by browser based screen recorders.
Audio Editing Tools
- Audio Trimmer: Cut and trim audio clips to the exact length you need.
- Ringtone Maker: Create custom ringtones (up to 30 seconds) for your phone.
- Pitch Changer: Shift the key of audio up or down without changing the speed.
- Nightcore Maker: Speed up tracks and raise the pitch for that classic nightcore sound.
- Slowed and Reverb Generator: Slow down audio and add reverb for a lo fi, atmospheric effect.
Audio Effects
- Bass Booster: Amplify low end frequencies for a heavier sound.
- Speed Changer: Adjust playback speed anywhere from 0.5x to 2x (or beyond).
- Volume Booster: Increase the volume of quiet audio files.
- Reverse Audio: Flip audio so it plays backwards.
- Audio Joiner: Merge multiple audio files into a single track.
We also maintain a blog with tutorials, guides, and informational content, and we offer an embeddable widget that lets other websites integrate our converter on their own pages.
3. Account Registration
There is no account. You don't need to sign up, log in, hand over your email address, or create a password. That's the whole point.
GetMP3.video is designed to be completely anonymous. We don't track individual users, we don't build profiles, and we don't require any personal information to use any of our tools. You open the site, use it, and leave. Simple as that.
4. User Responsibilities
Even though we don't require an account, you still have responsibilities when using the Service. By using GetMP3.video, you agree to the following:
- Own or have rights to the content: Only convert or edit files that you own, that you've created yourself, or that you have explicit written permission to use. For example, converting a lecture you recorded yourself is fine. Converting someone else's copyrighted music video is not.
- Respect copyright and intellectual property laws: Don't use our tools to rip, copy, or redistribute copyrighted material without authorization. This includes music, podcasts, films, TV shows, and any other protected content.
- Use the Service responsibly: Don't use our tools for anything illegal, fraudulent, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise harmful. Don't use them to create content that promotes violence, hate speech, or exploitation.
- Don't interfere with the Service: Don't attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble our code. Don't try to overload our servers, scrape our site, or inject malicious code. Don't attempt to bypass any technical limitations or security measures we've put in place.
- Don't misrepresent yourself: Don't impersonate GetMP3.video, claim affiliation with us, or suggest that we endorse your products, services, or content unless we've given you explicit written permission.
5. Acceptable Use Policy
We want to keep things straightforward. Here's what's okay and what isn't.
You can:
- Convert your own personal video recordings to audio format.
- Edit audio files that you own or have a license to use.
- Use our tools for personal, educational, or commercial projects where you hold the necessary rights.
- Embed our widget on your website in accordance with the Embed Widget Terms below.
- Share links to GetMP3.video with others.
You cannot:
- Use the Service to infringe on anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights.
- Distribute, sell, or commercially exploit files created through our tools if you don't have the rights to the source material.
- Use automated bots, scrapers, or scripts to access the Service in bulk.
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the website.
- Use the Service to create, store, or distribute malware or other harmful software.
- Frame, mirror, or replicate our website or tools without permission.
6. Copyright and Intellectual Property
GetMP3.video is a tool. Like any tool, it can be used properly or improperly. We don't encourage, condone, or facilitate copyright infringement in any way.
Examples of acceptable use:
- Converting a home video you shot on your phone to extract the audio.
- Editing a podcast episode you recorded yourself.
- Processing audio from a Creative Commons or public domain source.
- Working with content you've purchased or licensed (for example, royalty free music from a stock library).
- Converting a screen recording of your own presentation or tutorial.
Examples of unacceptable use:
- Ripping audio from copyrighted music videos you don't own.
- Converting someone else's paid course material without permission.
- Extracting audio from copyrighted films, TV shows, or broadcasts.
- Creating remixes or derivatives of copyrighted music without a license.
All content, branding, code, design, and text on GetMP3.video (excluding user submitted files) is our intellectual property or is used under license. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our website without written consent.
7. Browser Requirements
Because all processing happens locally in your browser, you'll need a modern web browser that supports WebAssembly (WASM) and the Web Audio API. This includes recent versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge, and most Chromium based browsers.
If your browser doesn't support these technologies, the tools simply won't work. We can't guarantee compatibility with outdated browsers, mobile browsers with limited WebAssembly support, or browsers running in restricted modes that block WASM execution.
For the best experience, we recommend keeping your browser updated to the latest version. A stable internet connection is needed to load the website itself, but once the page is loaded, file processing happens entirely offline on your device.
8. Service Availability
We do our best to keep GetMP3.video up and running 24/7, but we can't promise 100% uptime. Things happen. Servers need maintenance. Updates need to be deployed. Occasionally, something breaks.
We don't guarantee that the Service will be available at all times, that it will be free of errors or bugs, or that any specific feature will continue to be offered indefinitely. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice.
That said, we genuinely care about keeping this tool reliable and accessible. If there's planned downtime, we'll try to give a heads up when possible.
9. Embed Widget Terms
We offer an embeddable converter widget that you can place on your own website. If you choose to use it, the following terms apply:
- You may embed the widget on any website you own or operate, as long as the site itself doesn't violate these Terms or any applicable laws.
- You must not modify, alter, or tamper with the widget code in any way that changes its functionality or removes attribution to GetMP3.video.
- You must not frame or wrap the widget in a way that makes it appear as though it's your own product or service without acknowledging GetMP3.video.
- We reserve the right to revoke embed access at any time and for any reason, including if we believe the widget is being used on a site that hosts illegal, harmful, or infringing content.
- The widget is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will work perfectly in every context, on every platform, or with every site configuration.
10. Blog Content
Our blog provides tutorials, how to guides, industry news, and general informational content about audio and video tools. This content is for informational purposes only.
Nothing on our blog should be taken as professional, legal, financial, or technical advice. We do our best to keep things accurate, but we make no warranties about the completeness or reliability of any blog content. If you need professional advice, consult an appropriate professional.
Blog content may include links to third party websites or tools. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We specifically disclaim all implied warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of conversion results or audio processing.
- Uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error free operation.
- Compatibility with all devices, browsers, operating systems, or file formats.
- That the Service will meet your specific requirements or expectations.
You use GetMP3.video entirely at your own risk. We don't warrant that files processed through our tools will be free of quality loss, distortion, or other artifacts.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GetMP3.video, its operators, owners, affiliates, and partners shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind, regardless of the cause or theory of liability. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
- Service interruptions, outages, or downtime.
- Damage to your computer, device, or software.
- Cost of procuring substitute goods or services.
- Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data.
- Any loss or damage resulting from your reliance on the Service.
In no event shall our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service exceed the amount you've paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim. Since the Service is free, this means our total liability is zero dollars ($0).
Some jurisdictions don't allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages. In those jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless GetMP3.video, its operators, affiliates, partners, and any associated individuals from any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:
- Your use of (or inability to use) the Service.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any third party rights, including but not limited to copyright, trademark, privacy, or publicity rights.
- Any content you process, create, or distribute using our tools.
- Your use of the embed widget on your own website.
14. Advertising and How We Stay Free
GetMP3.video is free to use. No subscriptions, no premium tiers, no hidden costs. So how do we keep the lights on? Ads.
We display advertisements through Google AdSense on our pages. These ads help cover server costs, development time, and the coffee that fuels all of it. Here's what you should know:
- We don't control exactly which ads appear. Google's ad network handles targeting based on your browsing preferences.
- Advertisers have zero influence on our tools, blog content, or recommendations. None.
- You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's Ad Settings.
- We also have a Ko-fi page if you'd rather support us directly. Totally optional, no pressure.
By using the Service, you agree that ads may be displayed alongside our tools and content. We try to keep them non-intrusive, but we can't guarantee every ad will be relevant or tasteful.
15. Third Party Content and Services
Our website and blog may contain links to third party websites, services, or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We don't control, endorse, or assume any responsibility for the content, privacy policies, terms of service, or practices of any third party site.
Visiting a third party site through a link on GetMP3.video is entirely at your own risk. We encourage you to read the terms and privacy policies of any site you visit.
16. Modifications to Service
We reserve the right to modify, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. This includes adding or removing tools, changing the user interface, updating underlying technology, or shutting down entirely.
We won't be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.
17. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Changes take effect immediately upon posting.
Your continued use of the Service after any changes means you accept the updated Terms. If you don't agree with the changes, your only option is to stop using the Service. We encourage you to check this page periodically so you stay informed.
18. Dispute Resolution
If you have a concern or dispute about the Service, we'd genuinely prefer to work it out informally first. Before filing any formal legal claim, please contact us at [email protected] and give us a reasonable opportunity to address the issue. Most problems can be resolved through a quick conversation.
If informal resolution doesn't work, any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of the jurisdiction in which we operate, at our discretion. You agree that any claims will be brought individually, not as part of any class action or representative proceeding.
19. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to the Service shall be brought exclusively in the courts of that jurisdiction.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and DMCA Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and GetMP3.video regarding your use of the Service. They supersede all prior agreements, understandings, representations, and negotiations, whether written or oral, between you and us concerning the Service.
No other document, statement, or promise not explicitly included in these Terms forms part of this agreement.
21. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible. If it can't be enforced at all, it will be severed from these Terms, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
The invalidity of one section does not affect the validity of the rest. These Terms are intended to be enforceable to the broadest extent possible under applicable law.
22. No Waiver
If we don't enforce any right or provision of these Terms at any point, that doesn't mean we're waiving that right. A single instance of leniency doesn't set a precedent. We can still enforce that right or provision in the future.
Any waiver of any provision of these Terms will only be effective if it's in writing and signed by us. No oral waiver, implied waiver, or course of conduct constitutes a waiver of any term.
23. Contact Information
